Staying at Grandparents' Makes Kids Overweight

One in three children left at grandparents’ earns obesity.

Experts from the UK conducted a survey in 9 thousand families and noted that the older generation’s desire to feed the children to satiety leads to child health problems.

Very often, older people do not know whether the foods are good for the child. This is one of the factors why the percentage of overweight children under grandparents’ care was 26.2% , whereas in the group of those who lived with their parents – 22.9 %.

Thus, if grandparents raise a child, it increases the risk of childhood obesity by 31%. By the way, if you feed a child by force, it may also lead to excessive weight.
